We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our rug manufacturing team. Principle duties are to ensure all orders are cut, checked before edging, edged either with a whipping yarn or a border (sewn over the edges) then labelled and despatched in accordance with our quality standards.
This is a physical job as you will be working with carpet on a daily basis, but we do have colleagues onsite who are always available to assist when lifting is required.
The ideal candidate will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to follow all instructions given by the department team leader to achieve targets, follow set procedures and ensure they work in accordance with our health and safety policy. They will be able to maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and be able to enthusiastically assist in making ongoing improvements to goods and services offered to our customers.
Yes, it would be an advantage to have commercial sewing experience, or used at home a sewing machine but, as full training is given onsite, a candidate with good attention to detail and a positive team spirit will be considered for this rewarding role.
Working hours: 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with half an hour lunch break. The company does not open at weekends, but you may be offered Saturday morning work if the department is busy or a stock-take is required.
